Sometimes when you're feeling numb
and everything seems crazy
Just gaze upon a lovely mum
Or maybe kiss a daisy.

These little things can bring a smile
like the petals of a rose,
Even if for just a while
feel life through your nose.

Close your eyes and take a whiff
of something in the yard,
There's beauty in each little sniff,
it's really not that hard.

Are you a rose, or maybe a glad
a vinca or hydrangea?
A pleasure for sure that I have had
and I wouldn't want to change ya.

Some might not understand this ditty
and think it down right silly,
but I think that it's quite witty
cuz today I am a Lily.
