Best Location To Plant Daylilies

I'm expecting about 20 daylilies in the mail and I need to create yet another new flower bed to accommodate all of them. I've read that there are so many different "best" places to plant them that now I'm confused, so now I'm relying on you guys to help me out.
Full sun= lots of blooms but all at once
Part shade=slower bloom, not as many blooms
Some full sun, some part shade==to increase the blooming period
Where in the bloomin heck am I suppose to put them? My full sun areas are in the back yard. I'd rather put them in the front yard where I'll be able to see them out my windows more often and where my dogs won't step on them. BUT...if I put them in the front in partial / dappled shade, I don't want to rob my plants of their blooms if they need the full sun. I'm in a pickle here.
So, where do you plant yours?

I only have one full sun if you can call it that. I have so many trees I am shaded in most areas so I experimented with a couple to see which ones would look happy and bloom. I get sun from about 1-2 until sun set. I get a lot of blooms heavy earlier and finished quick in about two weeks.
I have a couple of the same plant in the back that gets morning sun until noon. They bloom later maybe just a little less but I get constant bloom for 3 weeks.
Last I have the same one in high shade it gets blooms later fewer about half of the full sun and it will bloom for a month or more.
That said these are very old varieties that I experimented with. I think some of the new hybrids may have trouble. So what I do is if it is dated as breed in the 90s or later they get the full sun when they multiply I will experiment in the less sunny areas.

Mine are all in full sun. Probably because I don't have much shade in my yard yet! I had blooms that started in late May and I still have some that are blooming, and they're not Stellas!

I have mine scattered from almost full sun to part shade and I think the full sun ones flower earlier and maybe heavier, but I wouldn't go with too much shade. There are some spots I wouldn't try growing them since it's sort of what's called dense shade.

Personally I would put your daylilies in the front where you want them to be so you can se them... the shade issue is not such a big one for daylilies -- as long as they get a bit of dappled sun they've always done really well for me.
With my gardens, because I love planting trees and bushes too, I end up with so much shade that I have to be very careful about which plants I allow to have the coveted full sun spots. Usually if it'll take a little shade -- that's where it goes.

I have some in full sun, others in partial shade and a couple in deep shade but they don't bloom very well. I like them for the foliage near my hostas.
I don't know why I haven't planted more of them.....they are just lovely massed.
