Width: 9 inches
Light: Sun
Bloom Time: Spring - Summer
Flower Color: Pink
Foliage Color: Green
Soil: Well-Drained
Zones: 3 - 9
Special Features: Sea Thrift tolerates dry conditions and is an excellent plant to grow if you have poor, rocky soil. I planted Sea Thrift in a old driveway area that has been recreated into a miniature rock garden. Sea Thrift is a long time bloomer but even when its not blooming, the little grassy mounds are attractive. Very cut plant.
How Difficult To Grow? If you have the right soil conditions Sea Thrift is a plant that does best left alone except for some occasional dead heading. If your soil is too rich or moist Sea Thrift could be prone to rot & it may be best to grow this little gem in a container.
