Treasures
I have a special treasure box,
Where I keep some precious things
To lift my spirits when they're low--
What warmth and joy they bring!
There's memories of spring flowers
From tiny seeds I grew,
And clouds that billow in the wind,
Against a sky of blue.
I recall rainbows arching high,
From summer's soaking rain,
And berries eaten from the bush
That leave a purple stain.
I think of friends and family,
Though years and miles apart;
Where do I keep these special things?
I keep them in my heart!
Where I keep some precious things
To lift my spirits when they're low--
What warmth and joy they bring!
There's memories of spring flowers
From tiny seeds I grew,
And clouds that billow in the wind,
Against a sky of blue.
I recall rainbows arching high,
From summer's soaking rain,
And berries eaten from the bush
That leave a purple stain.
I think of friends and family,
Though years and miles apart;
Where do I keep these special things?
I keep them in my heart!
