Special Features: Japanese Anemones are a delightful fall flower to have in the garden. Their many blossoms dance in the wind, hence their common name: Windflowers. Japanese Anemones are originally from China so I'm not sure why they are named Japanese Anemones, but the flowers do remind me of Japanese Cherry Blossoms.
How Difficult To Grow? Japanese Anemones are not difficult to grow at all. Some might find them too easy because the plants multiply and can self seed if not deadheaded. In zone 5 I have not found this to be a discouraging or considered an invasive plant. I consider this one of my top 5 must have plants.
