Zelig arrived in the afternoon on the 25th. He was very tired and thirsty and was complaining LOUDLY about the slow mail service ( I think he was kind of spoiled jet setting around with Aud). We decided to just lay around yesterday and rest. Today the fun begins. Our DGS has a football game today and Zelig is anxious to see the kids play.
Tonight the rest of the Gnomes are having a family reunion party for him (Grandpa Gnome is convinced that he is a relation and, explained to me that ALL Gnomes are related)! Tomorrow we've planned a picnic and swimming party for him. He said he doesn't swim well but he does want to work on the tan he started in Costa Rica. I will be posting pics of his adventures later.

After resting a while, Zelig decided to go swimming with us today. He was amazed at the size of the wheat and barley fields we drove past and was very interested in the beer barley fields we went by. He wanted to know where the sampling house was.
When we got to the swimming hole, we devised a float mattress for him.
He took one dunking.....
before he got the hang of staying on.
He went wading later and stood for a while to admire the scenery.
He found some mussel and snail shells and was talking constantly during our picnic.
After we got home Grandpa Gnome had prepared quite a party to introduce Zelig to the rest of the family. It was quite a ceremony with a fire and it turned into quite a bash. The drinking started early and continued until we had to call a halt due to the noise!
