Greenhill Estate

Scotsman - United Kingdom

A COUPLE who infuriated their neighbours by taking over a memorial garden next to their house have been told they have no right to the land.

Joanna and John McCoach fenced off the garden at Chamberlain Road in Morningside last year, claiming it belonged to them.

But now the Registers of Scotland has ruled the land is owned by Edinburgh City Council.

Campaigners win access to memorial garden
