Yes, it looks good enough to eat ! But I have no idea what it is, or whether
it is in fact edible.
There is an often quoted court case from I think the eighteen hundreds here where
two young boys were accused of stealing a woman's prickly pears (from which she made her jam). Nowadays, the plant is a damaging weed and
is quickly removed. I am just wondering if in these days of food shortages
and actual starvation, a hardy edible plant could be bred into something
controllable as a food item. (Vitamin C and Calcium in the form of jam?)
