That looks really good. I have 18 baby epis on my bedroom windowsill and haven't a clue where I'm going to put them.

Rich, I can think of a few places to put them I just ordered 10 more epies, rhipsalis, a disocactus Kimnachii and a disocactus Nelsonii. I keep saying I'm going to star selling cuttings but I can't seem to part with them.
for those who are worried about the frost getting my plants. its 11:50 pm shade house is at 52, I took the hanging plants down but the rest will be just fine, its nice to know others care about my plants too. its still to cold to move my desert cactus, orchids or bromeliad or any tender plants out yet, still have about 2/3 weeks yet on them. I plan on redoing the lighting in the basement better known as the under ground jungle, so I can keep all the plant in one place makes it easy to water them that way.

That's a lot of moving. They look great GB. Good idea to check the labels before moving them out.

That's a lot of moving you had to do! How long did it end up taking you?
I never thought of a 'shade house'. Pretty nifty idea!

with all the tag checking and redoing some of the tags it took about 7 hrs to move the first bunch out, but when its time to move the rest they will be ready to go, I did all new tag so I can read them, I'll put up some new tables for them this week I hope I have enough room for all of them if not I'll find room some place, I took time today to check all the plants to see how they did after 4 days of rain I think they liked it lots of new growth so I think its going to be a good year for my epies.

I'd forgotten you have all those orchid cactus and I have just my two varieties still, since I don't get the best blooms and they can get so big for my small house as well. The largest is looking bad this spring with perhaps some overwatering having caused some ropt damage, though from the shriveling,, I'd guess I've underwatered most of the winter. Not the best light either, but I do hope the plant will perk up once again with perhaps a badly needed repotting and some good outdoor growing conditions as well. It does prefer the summers outdoors, though it had a bit more direct sun that it prefers, from the bit of scorching that showed up along the edges of the leaves. However it seems to having lots of spotting as well, whlich I don't recall seeing before? Perhaps from wet leaves followed by direct sun when still wet? My best blooms still show up during unusually cool summers here , though it should bloom in spring if grown well indoors. They need cool lnights to set buds I believe!!

MrSeedy, its nice to see you back. your spotting sounds like a good case of sun burn, water on the plant act like a magnifing(sp?) glass and burn your plant, bright light and no direct sun and they should bloom, repotting then in the spring will keep them from blooming they need to be root bound or the spend all there time setting new roots, I allway repot in the early fall or after they have bloomed. low light in the winter won't really hurt them, mine get about 10 hrs of light in the winter and do well in the basment with very little water and with temps between 55/60 give your plant time and they should start looking good

I do need to try changing my approach with mine, though the spots I think were from water perhaps on the leaves in too much sun. I don't feed them regularly at all and that's overdue, I'm sure . None the less, I won't toss them, regardless----. Some of my other nonbloomers are about due for a toss after over ten years without blooms. Even my patience is limited , though my ego says, I must be able to get it right somehow, since every plant should bloom, if only I figure out their problem. I have that problem with more than just one of my collection I'm sorry to confess!! Jasmines that don't flower, hoyas without flowers, etc. etc. My mind has suddenlly gone black as I try to remember the names___. Must be tired today again!!
