I took this photo earlier this year in France, the name of the hairdressers amused me.

That's funny! I tried to google what the word "mess" means in French, without success. I suppose it would be like a military mess - but a hair one!

Perhaps the French equivalent or abbreviation for "mens or gents" haircuts , being Mess for Monsieur?? It seems however, around here in the states , that the "mess" is a style of haircut here in the states these days, and I often wonder how guys can go to a stylist and say, "Give me a haircut, that looks like I've not combed my hair in days, and which looks like I still could use a decent haircut when you've finished". I often think I could give that kind of haircut with my eyes closed and make big money doing it, and when I see so-called stylish celebs with hair like that, I just want to gag!!!
Of course this is comming from a guy , who once had untrimmed hair down to my shoulders, but I guess with old age comes a more conservative attitude towards haircuts. Speaking off---------------!! My hair is at the stage where I could use a pound of moose just to plaster it down, so I'm badly in need of a very short haircut again. Out with the scissors soon!!!
