the storm is over except for the blowing. we managed to get about 10 inches. to my daughters delight the schools are closed. it is a nice fluffly snow and it is pretty easy to shovel. good for working the ole heart anyway!!

We got close to 6". My driveway is short, unless DH shovels, I won't be. My SUV can handle it.

It stopped a lot sooner than they said it would, yeah! It's bright and sunny out now :D We got about 11".

Its still a cold day here today! I guess I would say that we might have gotten a couple inches of that white stuff, its blowing around real good at times yet! Over night was windy as all though! So all in all, not really bad. It seems to be snowing all around us - we've been lucky here - but sooner or later, that luck will end!

We got a few inches of fluffy stuff. Bad thing is that I haven't shoveled what was underneath and it was very wet and heavy. Tried to move it with the lawn tractor w/blade but a chain fell off one of the tires, so I finished by hand. I hurt and am tired. Jumping in a hot shower now.

I got about 8.5" ;) and then it started snowing :P

Tony and I shoveled the walk and driveway together. Hes such a riot. He hates the cold and the snow and I have to make fun of his miserablness.

only got about 5" at my house but Curt will have to get the snowblower out anyway. I think he enjoys playing with it. Right now we just shoveled off the back step and a path to the truck. My doors freeze shut so I get to park in the garage :D

Ravenhawk lucky you getting to park in your garage. Ours is taken up with my DH's precious Malibu that he's restoring. I think that one of us should get to use the garage for our cars during the winter but nooooooooooooo, gotta keep the weather off that Malibu at all costs.

I guess we got aboutt five or six inches here, but it was mostly the dry fluffy stuff and not heavy to shovel! Later in the day however , since the sun had come out for a while the snow had settled down to about half the original depth. I have a snowblower , but since the ground is so uneven and since I have no paved sidewalks or driveway , which would provide a flat surface for the small tires on the snow blower it's almost more trouble pushing the darn thing through heavy snow and trying to get the tires out of al those little ruts it gets stuck in etc. There's more lifting with a shovel, but more pushing with the blower, so it's a toss up which is more tiring when snows are heavy. On top of the blower getting bogged down easily , the darn thing has the nastiest exhaust that I'm forced to breath and the machine is noisy as H---, and both those situations are annoying to me. I've not used the durned thing since the first winter I got it and it's been sitting in my shed unused for the past two winters , despite getting a few heavy snows along the way.
