Ah thats one f those grafted Gymocalycium mihanovichii cv. 'Hibotan'

They have no Chlorophyl and so cant survive on their own roots-they were quite trendy in the 80s, but for a while they put me off Gymnos, until i realised they werent all like these oddities.
