Its an amazing camera. Only had it a couple of hours but its my favorite already. The different things it can do are so easy. Macro is a button. The zoom is what I like though. Its like I had on the 35 m. Turn the lens, its a lot more accurate than a small lever that it on the other.

Wow!!! Nice camera, but I bet it was a bit expensive?? I'm still not used to mine and still feel like most of my shots are out of focus usually, though it's maybe a case of too much movement with the camera. I've seen that one advertised (can't remember the name unfortunately) that's supposed to have a stabilization feature , so any movement won't mess up the focus, and that could help me, since it seems without a tripod I can't seem to hold my camera steady enough for well focused shots. I'm sorry to say that despite the relatively higher cost of my new HP Photosmart R707, I still think my old Canon took better photos!! It seems just looking at the HP , that even looking for a spot on the camera where a tripod would screw on, I don't even see one, and don't know if the darn thing could even fit on the average tripod?

Thanks for all the posts. Don't expect greater pics though. The main reason for this camera is the 9 megapixels. I want to be able to crop the insect images and still have a high resolution. The image size would be to big to post the whole thing here as well. I'll still be using the other two as I do like the smaller minolta that I took this image of the cameras with. It was to show how big this fuji camera is. It has everything, I will be able to what the flowers are etc when out with naturalists as it has a mike.

Kildale, I'm drooling. It's such a pretty thing  and powerful? So come'on -_- shoot something so we can see how it does.

Hmm, you must have a lot of cameras since you took the picture with something.

Hi Bo. I really like the Minolta that I took the photo with, a 12 times zoom and close! I took most of the insect pictures with it.

So when you're crawling around ready for nature to pose  how many cameras do you carry with you? I'm imaging a back pack or a big 'ol man purse. :D

I have a few cameras too, but they are better used as paper weights. Someday I'll get into Cliff's wallet and buy a real camera. Until then, I'll clip yours out and put it on my fridge.

It really looks like a nice one & the larger pixal size should be wonderful.

Hi Boo. When I was using 35mm cameras I would take two with me and an extra lens to cover macro and 28 to 320 zoom. Each of the three digital cameras that I have cover these so I use one and have one as a back up. I will have to have a garage sale in the spring and get rid of all the 35 mm stuff. The last digi has a cable release attachment that is great for tripod work. Looking forward to the spring.
