I know why I have most of them, second hand...they spash. I was wondering how and if anybody has made them work better inside. I have added them to big floor plants surfacesin their pots and never worried about them spashing so much or them drying out....plants also.
Has any body tried using them outside?...I think some may state indoor use only...but what really makes them for outdoor use only?...I not sure.

I have a couple of battery operated that I use outside. I think if you use the plug in type outside you are in danger of electrocution or electrical fire.

One of my fountain pumps for outside died and I have an extra pump but doesn't say anything about not using outside. Looks beefy enough....Just 'use with a circit breaker protected by a ground fault'. I'll wait until I can bring it back to work or if I can trust letting somebody figure it out. I wouldn't use the ones that look like it's a battery charger.

You could use it outside but its good to seal the outlet with a plastic bag to keep it from getting wet.
