That's nice. We also had a few centimeters snow this morning, it was beautiful ... but now it has almost disppeared since temperatures got a little warmer ...

Now that's what I call a dumping. Excellent. Were all the roads closed?
They make a big thing here about one inch of snow and the country grinds to a halt, but in America they get a foot and no one notices.
Is this really true?

Oh that looks so pretty. Of course, that's easy for me to say because I'm not there trying to get around and shovel pathways.

Rich it seems that even where we're somewhat used to some heavy snows at times, it seems in the Detoit area there were tons of accidents on the first small snowfall , with icing and blowing snow, but later on the accident rates drop again, as folks get used to more cautious driving again. Seems anything over a few inches is a big deal for me anymore, as I just hate dealing with the shoveling etc.
Of course in the south, even less than an inch causes all kinds of driving accidents and it seems the folks down there still have problems, even if they have more than one snow in a season, and schools close etc etc. etc. I know some states are so used to heavy snows that even after a major blizzards they can have most of the roads open the next day and traffic is flowing normally again, so it depends where you are in the U.S.

 When it was finally done here we ended up with round 5". We don`t have that now cause the sun was out all day today[though you`d never know it, it was soooo cold] and it melted some of it. I certainly don`t know how it did that either. I sure couldn`t feel any warmth from the sun when I went out to get the mail. <_<

Well I think we got almost 2 feet. The official depth is twenty inches and I'll certainaly agree with that. My car is stuck in the driveway and my guy that plows hasn't shownup.
