I Think This Is Venus

A very bright star visible due south west. I reckon its Venus. I loked thru the scope and saw a cresecnt which clinches it.
I put the cell phone to the eyepiece and held my breath!

That's a great way to take a photo, I'll have to try to take some with my magnifier.

Good pic. Mars is very prominent in the sky at the moment. It is bright and has an orange tinge rising in the East and getting high in the sky.

Yes,we have 2 planets visible at the same time at the moment-just wish i had a decent scope!
