Hello people!
I have this growing on the side of my house. I have no idea what it is, but I do know it's something I didn't put there. It's pretty though, so I'm leaving it where it is. Also, it must be a shade plant because it's so shadey on that side of the house.
sorry,it's not a very good picture....

I could be wrong but I think its a old fashion campanula. I think it goes by the common name lady slippers or something of the sort. I think its pretty but it shoots up runners everywhere. I bet it could take over an area but I think its worth keeping a bit around. :)
oh just looked it up and its considered a weed in some areas

Ah,cool thanks Boo! :P
That's okay by me if they take over that area. It'll give it some color! :P

Oh crap! That's the stuff I let grow in one of my flower beds and by the end of the summer it had completely choked out all my other perenniels. It's taken me years of yanking and digging it up and it's STILL coming up in places.
On the positive side - it is very pretty and makes a great cut flower in bouquets.
Just be careful where you let it grow.

Ya, Mary! I had it growing too and it took me a couple of years to finally get rid of it..... When I see it pop it's head up, I quickly yank it out!

Google Creeping Bellflower for more pics but it looks like it might be something invasive.
Guess I should dig it out of one of my beds. I don't mind it growing in the hedge but I would hate for it to choke out my other plants.

It reminds me of my ladybells, which are related to campanula or bellflowers, and the leaves especially look like the "Adenophora", but I must confess I'm not 100% sure since, I don't know the leaves on the campanulas that well. Here's a picture of my Adenophora "confusa" from last year.
