<_< geeez I'm not even thinking about snow until at least mid to late December; even then it's not a sure thing. -_-

Yeah, you probably should dig those up soon - there's supposed to be accumulation tomorrow, so you'll have to dig through snow, then frozen ground.
Really, it's expecting an awful lot to have a frost before it snows, isn't it? ;) I mean, that's like expecting the leaves to fall off the trees before Christmas. Which we know wouldn't have happened, had we not had so much wind the last couple of weeks.

Ooo hasn't that been something? I went out a couple times around 2 am (dog run) and it was so exciting. Love storms   but I was really glad none of our trees went down.
I flipped past the headlines to get here. I guess they said there was a few tornados that touched down in the midwest? I hope everyone is ok.

TPS, it can't be doing very well under the snow.
I cut mine back & dug them up a few weeks ago. Go ahead and dig them up. :)

:D I have a bunch of alien looking things on my kitchen table. Aren't they wonderful?? just stick them in a box withpeat moss or shredded paper and put them some where nice and cold; if it's not cold enough they'll break dormancy....which isn't always a bad thing...i left some in my garage all summer sitting naked in a box and finally gave them to a neighbor....they have the most WONDERFUL display of cactus dahlias in their garden I've ever seen.

It's here as well, and much too early as usual! There's not much of the stuff, but it sure is winter like with temps in the twenties this morning and after raking my mom's lawn yesterday for two hours with terrible windchills, I feel a bit sick today, but of all things want to run to another pet store to look and see how good their fish are. Seems the available fish around here , are pretty dismal and very limited , with most of the places not even stocking up this time of the year. Lot's of empty tanks and half empty ones, and lots of very tiny fish avaiable. Oh well I guess times have changed from ,when I last had an aquarium.

Best get those callas up out of the ground before the ground freezes Ravenhawk. They won't tollerate any freezing!! I just went out and dug my gingers on Wed. and if I hadn't the ground has already frozen at least an inch deep here by yesterday afternoon. I dont' ever remember having frozen ground this early and that's not a good sign!!! Some of those "half hardy" bulbs can stay in the ground all winter , providing there's no freezing in the ground.
