Its great to see a wren about the deck. Trying to get a picture is a different matter. It never keeps still. Anyway, I managed a couple today.

Thats' my problem as well with the bird photos in general Kildale, but in my case it's some inexperience as well, and I'm pretty slow getting the shots centered and focused etc. and usually by then the bird is even long gone, but those very "antsy" birds have to be the hardest. and watching the way our juncos hop around constantly, I'd imagine getting a focused shot of a junco would be VERY difficult.

Wow hes a cutie, and diferet to our wrens, longer beaked!
Looks like one of our Treecreepers!
Does he have a very loud voice for such a tiny bird?

It is like a treecreeper, but in many ways it is similar to our wrens. They will only sit long enough to get them in focus, then just as you press the button they fly off.

Kildale, that's a very good picture even if you found it difficult to take it.

I'm not sure why but ours love peanut butter  if you need to entice them for a shot. I had a Carolina wren almost eating out of my hand. Real friendly little bird but not too bright when building her nest. She made it in my flower container and I was always scared of drowning her babies when I watered. ^_^

  Oh my goodness in the face he looks like one of our nuthatches. Our lil wrens are more of a pale cinnamon color. We have loads of them in the summer in our bird-houses down at the cottage. Love to wake up in the mornin to our lil wrens singing! ..............Good photo Kildare
