The red peony that I posted before is a shorter stocky plant with thick stems, coarser leaves, faint fragrance, and blooms early. The white one I posted (also have a pink one) grows twice as tall, finer cut leaves, VERY fragrant, thinner stems (have to tie these up) and bloom later. I didn't know that there were different kinds other than the tree peony.
