Still waiting here, it's been a long time since we had no snow in October and none yet in November. Every day without snow is a plus day.

I'd LOVE to have a few days of snow this winter. Maybe 2 or 3.. then it can go away! When it snows here.. it usually looks like dandruff on my lawn.

Snow, is good here, but so rare. Even with quite a heavy fall we can still see the grass tops usually. Then it has gone in a day or two.

To have it for months at a time would get a bit boring I suppose, but at least the garden looks neat.

I'm sorry to say it but lately our snowstorms have been comming earlier some years, and I'm not ready for that. On top of that with those leaks not fixed yet , any snow load most likely would make for some very steady leaks unless I get up on the roof and physically remove most of the snow, which could prove dangerous. Even with my efforts to seal a few cracks in the roofing, I think I just made more cracks by walking on that very brittle roofing, and with the first heavy rains this morning the leaks are the worst they've been in many year. Buckets all over the place tring to catch the drips, and even that didn't go well with water all over my floors. A heavy wet snow that stayed on the roof for days could be a "disaster"!! Meanwhile , the snow is just a sign that it's much colder than I find comfortable and even trying to get around on foot and by bus etc. can prove a frustrating exercise and slipping and sliding everywhere I go and having to climb over snow banks just to cross the street. By the way., do ya'll have the situation where business owners etc. clear their driveways on their property only to create big mounds of snow at intersections, across sidewalks and other areas that makes getting around a matter of having to climb over big piles of snow to get where you are trying to go?? I think that's "idiotic" and inconsiderate for the public, but that's the way snow removal goes in this town. Morons!!!

we got three inches, luckily today even though that is all you can see, it has gotten a bit slushy so hopefully it will melt. Isn't it funny how people who have alot of snow hate it and those who don't want it? Well i would trade is yucky stuff for a few of your palm trees anyday! It isn't that I hate winter completely but here our winter seems to last just as long as all our other seasons put together.

When I was younger, snow was anticipated and loved. Oh! the snowmen we could build. Now it's scary!@!!! Been very warm here in Mo. 80 yesterday!? Things are still green and flowers still trying to bud. But knowing that Mother Nature can pull some doozy surprises, we've gotten all winterized, I think. The only real good deal 'bout winter: snuggling up close to the ole wood burner. ;)
