Very pretty Kildale, and I do love ducks, but as I've mentioned before, our duck palate around here is limited to just one species for some strange reason, considering how much water is available for them around this area? I've only seen some on just one occasion when I caught the spring migration going north in our local St. Clair River. I've never caught the migration since, but have no way of timming yet , unless I should travel over to the river almost every day come springtime. The golden eye is pretty and that may have been one I saw on that one occasion, but I didn't have a bird guide with me to identify all the varieties then. Seems like it was common mergansers , which I'd never seen before, buffleheads , canvas backs, and lots of our local mallards , which stick around all winter and yearound actually. Those are the only ones I see most of the time and they even like to hang out on people's lawns and especially swimming pools here.

Very nice pic kildale. We have plenty of ducks here as well as Canada Geese and a few I could never identify. Our lake is a great stopover for migrating birds.
