"Face Plant" my main hiking pardner standing by some rocks...we call her face plant because this was her first backpack trip and she earned her name by landing face first in a stream!

I can't BELIEVE how beautiful the leaves and trees look right now! It must have been invigorating to be hiking through them. Thanks for sharing your pics.

Beautiful pics...though I am not a hiker, just looking at these photos makes me want to go to the nearest mountain and walk the trails (that is as long as the bears and coyotes stay away ^_^ ).

Thanks for sharing!

Beautiful pictures TPS. It looks like such a pretty place. Who would imagine a storm was brewing.

I'm not sure about the used cows  but its funny.

How many people were in your group?

TransplantShock

15 people. but we took diffrent ways to camp...some did a 15 mile death march, and and a few others did the 10 mile death march and a couple did the 5 mile easy route. One only did a bout 10 minuts of hiking because she spraind her foot on a rock and went back to the hotel at the park, one did the 10 mile rougt and added a few miles on by taking the wrong turn lol

Oh my , what a beautiful place, and to think I was just getting ready to send out the "search" party with those tornados in Indiana , since I'd forgotten you said you were going on a trip??? Or did I miss something. Glad you're ok and I do love those pictures.

Nice place for a walk. I think I'd want a tent over me at night though.
