How tall does Sunrise Amaranth Get? :unsure: And Do you have a picture? :unsure: Thank you! Yippee I got some going and need to know the height and spread so I'll know where to transplant it!

Thanks sooooo much Boo! I can barely wait till it blooms! All that RED! :wub: Now... Where am I gonna plant them! :blink: I think I'll wait till evening at least! It's in the nineties today... quite a scorcher!

Oh my, I didn't know it grew that tall! I guess I won't be seeing any of those plants I planted behind it then. :unsure: :lol:

Yeah, the one I had last year grew quite tall. I loved all that red too. I think they might even self-seed, but I'm not totally sure. I just remember when I was cutting the stalks to harvest the seed, I could hear a lot of the seed dropping all over. I kind of would like to drive past the old house just to see if there are anymore growing in its place.

Ok more questions. Does it self-seed? Is it perrenial? I do know it needs sun! (which means I don't know much :lol: :lol: ) Thanks!

I know my love lies bleeding amaranth has self seeded everywhere :rolleyes: :lol: I got plants waist high right now LOL

I'm trying to remember the name of that "fairly" new amaranth that's grown just for it's amazing leaf color , which is a mix of red, yellow and other colorers in sort of a haphazzard pattern on each leaf. I've seen pictures of it in my catalogs , but haven't grown it.

Wow Boo, that Amaranth is a beauty, and tall too, and an annual? Geez I didn't know an annual looked that good and healthy. I love the burgandy color. Does it come in any other colors?

i must have mutant amaranth then.....its taller then me!
