These goats are sooooo cute! Gotta love'em.

This is a video clip, so high speed is recommended.

I hate to say it , but that looks sort of mean to me, if you know you have "fainting" goats and then procede to scare them to induce the fainting. Seems they could be injured, if they're running and suddenly faint and fall down. I'd think it could also be a very "bad" genetic trait evidently, that shouldn't really be encouraged by breeding large numbers of that "breed". Reminds me of a certain president , who got in trouble for picking his beagle or whatever up by the ears for the photographers. Years ago a roomate's dog had epilepsy, which of course is slightly different , but sometimes when he's have an attack after jumping up on my bed, I'd have to grab him , just so he wouldn't fall off my bed and injure himself. Used to upset me a bit , when he'd have his seizures!!

Gary, that reminds me of Crufts, the dog show. People used to pick their dogs up by the tails to lift onto the table, until it was outlawed in the UK.
I think they still do it in the US tho.

MrSeedy, I know what you mean, but I think they scared them to show you how they react - just to make this video clip to show you what they're all about.

I found it interesting, as I've never heard of these goats before.

These goats are funny when they are scared. I wouldn't chase them to see it but yet it is funny.

I do love those African "mini" or "pygmy" goats and they're cute even without the fainting trait, though I guess goats in general can do lots of damage, since they can climb trees and get into all kinds of unexpected situations. I wouldn't mind having one or two as pets, though I'd need a warm barn probably to keep them in Michigan's very cold winters, and during the summer they'd most likely eat every flower in my garden. Goats are notorious for eating almost anything and even have been know to climb those thorny African Acacia trees to eat them.

Used to have some of those goats out at the state park near our house. When we took the dogs and they barked, the goated fainted. Really funny and it didn't harm the goats at all. They would get up and then come and butt you.

 Poor lil things. I`m not sure I like that!! What if they`d crack a rib, get a head concusion, or whatever. Nah, I don`t think I`d be makin them do that too often.

I think it's a defense mechanism. You know like "play dead" and the bad guys will leave you alone. The ones they had at the state park didn't seem injured in any way. They just played dead for a minutes then got up and came after the threat. I think the dogs were more scared than the goats.
