Is that an edible cauliflower? Ick - I don't think I could bring myself to eat that.
Have you ever had brociflower? It's a cross between broccoli and cauliflower. I don't like it.

Thanks for posting that piccie, grindle. You got very nice bunch there.
Are ye putting butter on it, or sauce hollandaise?

Here some of those odd looking ones are a cross between broccoli and cauliflower and they're refered to as "brocoflowers" and I've found them really tasty!! A bit of a combination of both flavors , but a good one!!!

Hey! We bought a couple of packages of frozen vegies (like to keep them around for emergencies) called "Europe's Best" - they're a product of Belgium. One of their mixes had those broccoli and cauliflower in them. They're quite good. I'd LOVE to try some fresh!!! I'm gonna keep my eyes open. :P (That way I won't keep bumping into things!)

haven't tried the brocoflower yet, must look for it
Nettle butter or holandaise sauce sounds   I just had it straight this time, but I'm going to be looking for it again.
I would love to grow them but I just don't have the space, maybe I'll be looking to put down for an allotment ;)
  Dandy, T & M do the seeds if you want to try growing them

 wow, that's really quite beautiful!!
sort of looks like a bouquet of sea shells ~ maybe something harvested from neptune's garden
i'd be tempted to buy that to use in place of a floral centerpiece!! :)
i tried the brocoflower a few years ago, and it was okay,
but i actually prefer the more colorful appearance of the two (broccoli and cauliflower) steamed and served together,
usually with some carrots and yellow bell peppers in the mix for even more color and flavor :P

T & M is Thompson and Morgan seed suppliers. I got my catalogue in the post, but no reply to my complaint.
That thing looks like a fractal.
That's wierd, I just googled fractal to check the spelling and a picture of one of those veggies came up.

 When my dh went and bought that extra cauliflower[that he thought I wanted to can so bad]it was orange!!!! Yep, orange cauliflower. Did ya ever hear of that? The box had product of California on it. Tastes just like the white, but it`s really pretty in the jars put up. I made alot of hot pickled cauliflower with it, and used the green and red hot chilli peppers in it. Looks soooo pretty in the jars. LOVE CAULIFLOWER PERIOD!!!! Doesn`t matter what color it is! :P

Disgusting stuff, yuk!
It's popular in a cheese sauce here, seems like a waste of cheese to me.
