..... You guys are breaking me!

Whenever I see a thread about a plant that I don't have, I need it.

Here's my new "Ponytail Palm"!

Dandy, Maybe you could do what I'm trying to do. Get some starts, let them grow, and then trade starts. I simply can't afford to buy all the plants I want. Or you can buy more seeds. They even sell moss seeds, so I'll buy some of the next year. But I do kmow what you mean, I didn't even have a sedum 2 mos. ago. But this list got me interested. Now I have about 30 varieties. Many were given to me or I paid postage or traded for them. Connie

You have will-power, Connie - and common sense. I have NONE! I'm one of those people who thinks of something that I want - and when I decide that I REALLY DO want it ---- I'm getting it NOW!

There's no sense in waiting around for something that you want!

I have to say I've had lots of "willpower" the past several years until recently with my new tropical plant additions, and those ponytails always pull on my willpower , when I see them in the stores, so congrats on your new acquisition! Maybe some day, when I have more room!! I"ve been eyeing the sago palms too for a long time, but they are expensive unless you buy very small young ones. Oh well, I could probably write out a list with at least two hundred more plants I'd like to get for indoors, but then I'd need a house with 10,000 -20,000 of sq. ft. and of course tons of windows.

I'm sure that this plant will soon feel welcome! Congrats. ( I had one myself about like yours, I gave it to my girlfriend recently as a gift to show her that she is special and she needed something for her living room to --- turns out, she loves it!
Good Luck and have fun with it!
Phil :-) ;)

Speaking of old!! Here's my old "Corn Plant" or Dracaena fragrans massangeana, which I've had for thirty years, though the big one is from a shoot cut off the original plant , that was just stuck into the same pot, and there are some younger and shorter ones that were put into the pot after cutting the tops off again last year. That big one is due for a 'topping" again, as it's gotten to the ceiling again.
I don't think they're the prettiest or showiest of plants, but after thirty years, I haven't the heart to replace it with something else!!
