sometines weeds are very cool!
I have this pot with 3 dafodil bulbs in, and I have noticed for some time this 'weed' that had appeared.
Today I decided to have close look at it and I realised its a Hebe thats got there all by itself!

I have 2 hebes out in the front garden, i wonder if this will be a hybrid of the 2?

Very cool Larry! Sometimes these visitors are planted by birds dropping "gifts" in our gardens!

I'd just love to grow one outdoors, but even indoors through our very frigid winters, I guess I don't have cool enough conditions to keep them through the winter indoors either! I bought one with variegated leaves years ago that was very pretty and supposed to have blue flowers, but it survived only a few weeks before it went downhill and died. I'd just guess my somewhat warm growing conditions weren't ideal for it's winter conditions. Outdoors it would have frozen solid though!! It's quite likely Larry yours could be hybrids, since many plants undergo natural hybridization in the wild. I guess some of our native azaleas present numerous hybrids throuhout there native ranges in the southern U.S. , so trying to ID those growing in the wild with the many color variations can be a real challenge even for expert botanists and azalea specialists.
