I think that's called anise bush, and I guess the flowers are supposed to be scented like anise ?? Anyway that's another one that's not terribly cold hardy , but it seem there was an Oregon company that sold them. I'll have to look up thier catalog, though I think that Wayside sometimes sells them?? Just checking I find that their on-line catalog does offer them!!!

Yeah Terese, I happened to bring my Wayside catalog to work with me today. It's in there. Kinda pricey at $27.95 but all of Wayside's stuff is pricey.

Terese,
I will have to see if it is available at some of the local nurseries around here. Floridata says it hardy in zones 7-10, so I should be able to find it somewhere...

edited to add I should have finished reading all the info on this plant from Floridata. It says Florida anise is a protected plant by the state of FL as a threatened species. But it does mention it is available from several native plant nurseries that have permits to sell listed species. Will have to rout out the native plant nurseries and see if I can find one for you.
