Pic is dark 'cause this crazy spider wort only blooms at night! Very pretty early morning...

very pretty :) This is my first year growing them. I hope they grow as fast as everyone says so I have plenty to share.

I've been watching a few I just plants and they have buds...I should look at night...I don't think all of them act this way. I have a feeling it has alot to be with moisture too.

boo;

... love your post. I don't think I enjoy anything as much as sharing a flower or shrub start with someone.

That's odd, the night blooming thing, since mine always open during the day. I think I have that same color, and also a huge patch of pink ones thats taken over an "undeveloped" area in my yard. I have a small area , that's been neglected for years, since I've never made a decision , what to do with it, since all the grass died there years ago. I only wish I could pot up most of that patch, and sell the extras, because there are hundreds of them now. I get very nervous , wherever I see those popping up , since I've found them near impossible to keep under control or impossible to eliminate, where I want to do so!!!

Do they seed as well as send up new shoots? I was hoping it would stay a clump like a daylily & only need dividing once in awhile. :unsure:

Yes, they reseed. One came up in crack where there wasn't even another around in an enclose atrium. Maybe a seed was stuck on my shoe. I left it but now I see others starting to grow. It's at work, I wondering if it flopped yet. That one of the problems with they are mature and need to be divided more often I think that daylilies.

Their little seed pods look so much like their blooms. Ok, I'll start deadheading.

If I save seed from the yellow one, do you think some will ring true?
