Yes, well, I only just registered five minutes ago, but I already need your help! I have a few plants that are perishing here in my humble attic, but one is really doing bad. It is a bamboo: pogonatherum monica. I do not know what it is, but immediately after I bought it the leaves began to turn brown and get all dry, though I do give it a lot of water just as I was told...now it is almost bald. I cut some of the leaves and stalks off because those were just beyond hope and now only a pathetic bit is left.
As a last resort I have it now standing in front of the window as in the other places in my room it did not work.
What must I do?
I can post a few pictures if that helps...

Hello Gwaloth, and welcome to our group!! Bamboos can be very difficult indoors and require high humidity , lots of warmth for the most part, and bright light as well. I think unless you have lots of gro-lites or at least lots of windows or skylights in your attic, it just may not be bright enough, and bamboos don't like to get too dry either, so it's possible you've underwatered it. Other than that, I can't imagine what the problem might be. I didn't think to ask, is it in a finished attic that are used as living quarters?? Many attics can become beastly hot in the summer months as well, and a bit too hot for most plants, but I'd assumer it's in a finished attic , that's well ventilated. Its' also possible , since bamboos are sort of suseptible to speder mites that the plant may have a great many of them and that will cause leaves to turn yellow and then brown, and the leaves will be shed! Usually there are symptoms with that however, though the mites are very hard to see since they're so small, and you would perhaps notice some webs, or an early "speckling of small yellow specks at the beginning of an infestation on the leaves.

I will put it under the shower immediately. I first thought it was leafrot because I had it with its feet under water, but it is the other way 'round aye?
And about the warmth: I usually create upto tropical temperatures in my chamber because I am terribly cold as soon as the thermometre outside shows below 18 degrees celius! And he does grow at my sisters` chamber...but I will try to keep it as warm and light as possible.
My attic is indeed finished and used as a bedroom. And yes, it is hot beyond words here in summer, though I always have the window open then as much as possible.
About the mites: I see litlte tiny white beast walking around ove rhte leaves. They are very small, almost transparent. Perhaps those are it, never really noticed...do you have an idea what they are and how I can get rid of them?
Can they affect other plants also (like lice)?
Thanks greatly for your advice

That could be the mites your seeing as they are almost transparent to the naked eye, but under 1mm in size and very difficult to see for the average person. Gernerally if there's a heavy infestation of mites later on you'll see fine webs all over the place, but earlier just in the notches where branches meet the main stems or notches where the leaves attach to the stems, and difficult to see then. If you mist the plant, those fine webs become quite visible to the naked eye.
BTW , not to be rude, but you didn't mention where you live, but I'd guess your name could suggest you might be Welsh???

Nono, my name is Elvish, Sindarin to be exact. It means "blossom". I am Dutch. :D
But you are right about teh Welsh thing: Sindarin is a bit old-english-like though it is most like Finnish...so they say.
But how do I get those mites away? Can it be cured or must I say goodbye to the Bamboo?
And do they leap over to the other plants as lice do? I checked the other withering ones, but with those I cannot see anything. I will mist them and extra-check the places you told to see for real...But is it possilbe I have it all over my jungle?
