Every year we get Boxelder Bugs on our trees in back they are really bad. We use soap and water in a spray bottle to get rid of them, but the next day or two there are more.
BE PREPARED FOR A CREEPY FEELING!!!!!!!
You can see them all the way up the tree.

At the base they are in masses and all over in the grass.

So How many of you have to deal with these buggers? Atleast they don't bite or sting that I am aware of yet.

We get them really bad here too. Looks exactly like your situation. But we also get a horrible population of the japanese (?) beetles, the ones that look alot like ladybugs. But they bite. We have to vacuum them off the windows. They come in thru the window air conditioner, but our house is so old I think they have lots of cracks etc. that they find their way in. I remember last year in the fall I was unable to be outside on a beautiful sunny day because the farmers had been picking the corn in the fields and stirring them up. They were swarming everywhere and you couldn't walk outside because the dang things would bite.

You know what!!!! I've had some of those on my box elder, but "THANK GOD"!!!!!
Not in those numbers. I'd have a fit if I saw that many of them. I see unfortunately those nasty Asian Ladybugs or whatever the darn things are , are back in force this year and again eating my grapes. We had a huge infestation of them several years ago with milions upon millions of them all over town and perhaps tens of thousands in my garden alone. And those nasty things even like to bite so much, I couldn't spend much time in the garden by late summer, without those nasty things eating me up!!! Gosh I "HATE" some bugs though I try not to hate any of Mother Nature's critters.
BTW, here's a picture of one of those little buggers, and if it weren't for the different color, I'd have thought them just to be a regular ladybug, though I've never known regular ladybugs to eat fruit !! Two years ago there would have been ten times the number on that same cluster of grapes. Nasty things!!
