Yesterday was a wonderful summer day. I worked on moving mulch all day. I'm almost finished. It wasn't too hot or too cold.Just beautiful.Connie

You're right; it was the perfect day to work outside. Most of the summer has been a bit too hot for me. I spent the day transplanting some of my perennials from an old "holding garden" into the spots I really need them. Then we cleared brush for a couple hours. My back hurts today, but it was well worth it.

I'll go along with that, as I've found this the most comfortable weather of the entire summer, with the lower humidity and cooler days and especially cooler nights for sleeping. Looks like rain this morning however , and perhaps "much" cooler weather, so I guess the perfection couldn't last for long around here. We do need the rain badly however, and last year we had almost a record for the driest September ever recorded.

The MORNINGS are absolutely prefect but by mid afternoon, again too warm for long periods in the yard. They said RAIN for yesterday..... and yet another day of NO SHOW... The drought has taken it's toll that is for sure! I'm wishing now after seeing Gonzer's post that I'd had planted large containers of coleus to stack by the front door to make it LOOK drought free!
