Just got myself into the 21st century and got high speed wireless internet service. I didn't know the smilies actually drooled, laugh, roll their eyes AND the banana actually dances. ROFLMAO:lol:
I love high speed. I've got a lot to learn but I'm having a blast.

I have DSL but I find the slow speed irritating with regard to watching
videos, and I really don't want to spend more per month when I have
other things that must be bought.

We are given tantalising hints all the time that better broadband for everyone
is just round the corner. I hope it happens soon.

The colour part does not seem to work for me. Offers black only.
Otherwise smilies etc. work



Could it be that either here or in another part of your computer there is
a command to stop the use of smilies, etc.?

Wish I could help but I've checked her settings and they are exactly the same as everyone else. Sneezie say's she has them she just can't use them which usually happens when there is another program/browser stopping it.

sneezie, logout & clear cookies including flushing your browser cache. If they still don't work for you try the Full WYSIWYG Editing in your settings & see if that works. :)

User CP > Edit Options > scroll down to Miscellaneous Options > select Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing > click on save changes when finished.

Penny hang in there. They talked about us getting affordable wireless internet for over two years. They finally came to town but it took another year before they made it out our way this month. The interesting thing is the place where I signed up and got my modem from can't get service yet. Eventually they'll make it out to you too.
