We have a small pond just about 5ft x 2. The raccoons used to tip over the plants and eat the lilies and the fish. A friend of mine had trouble with herons. So I made this lift of net and he copied the idea. Its a little bit better than the usual string type covering. Went to Hawaii earlier in case your asking.

Thanks for the idea. I was having the same problem. I did ask you in another forum about the wire mesh I thought they were lilies another problem I am having.

The bunnies are eating the buds off the lilies before they bloom.

I know they have to eat but...
Racoons.. why do the racoons eat my fish and water plants,
Chipmunks eat my strawberries,
Bunnies eating my lilies
Birds.....I gave up ever getting to taste a cherry on the cherry tree that is for the birds, they leave the seeds.

I did not see the Lei. Did you like Hawaii? It is a pretty place. I may revisit for vacation this year. It has been 10 years, time to see it again.

That is a very pretty pond, so worth using the mesh, just removing it if there was a party, I'd do it.

Hawaii is a magical place, a nephew stationed there met a girl on vacation, too young but they connected only by phone and a year later they just got married last weekend in Ohio and have moved in together back there. Who needs to garden when the whole place must be just that way. I might not ever want to come back if I ever visited.
