Anyone have a clue as to what this plant is? I grew it from seed as a hibscus, but I've never seen such tiny flowers before! They're about 3/4 of an inch in diameter, could this have reverted back to it's wild cousins? :lol:

Oh no, I think a weed snuck in. Those drop a million seed so pull it before all heck breaks loose. :blink:

Uh I hate to break it to ya but that is a weed and iffn ya dont get rid of it pronto, next year you'll have a million of em....

I agree with boo and TransplantShock about this to! Its a weed! Get rid of it now ( root and all )! I don't think you would like to deal with them in the following year now would ya!?!

All right, who was the wise guy who sent me this weed!!! :P :lol: :lol: Here I am thinking I was going to have some kind of beautiful hibiscus that finally grew nicely for me, and it's a darn weed! I never saw anything like this here. I some work to do, I have a few of them growing out there!
Okay, they're getting yanked out right away, thanks all!

That weed is called, velvet leaf or pie maker (because the seed pods were used to pattern pie crusts), Abutilon spp.
