That's a nice plant. How do you overwinter this kind of plant? Do you have to keep it growing or not?

I think it's another case of a tropical plant that really doesn't have much of a real "dormant" period any time of the year, so they must be kept warm indoors and growing yearound for the most part. I've often heard that tropical plants go "dormant' for the winter, but in truth it's not a natural dormancy in most people's homes, and is a reaction to the cooler temperatures , and much shorter daylight hours found in the temperate climates of the world , where winter daylight is short. In general most tropicals don't undergo daylength changes from one season to the next that vary plus or minus a couple of hours per day. The average is twelve hours of day and night at the equator and fairly uniform temperatures for most plants we consider "tropicals". In some areas however there are natural "dry" and "wet" seasons that may correspond with a "dormant" period and also which may bring considerably hotter or colder temperatures, from one season to the next, so it's best to know your plants. I prefer to keep most of mine in an active state nearly yearound , since I do like to see them looking their best yearound, but when temperatures are cool and daylight short, you may cause more stress and stringy growth if you encourage the "active" growth, so it's better to treat them like they're dormant or to try and encourage the slow growth.

Well, the box of tissues gives us a pretty good idea of how big the plant really is.
