Okay, who lured away my hummers???

They usually have set up housekeeping long before now, but all I've seen is the occasional transient...

 Funny, I have LOTS of hummers. I'm making fresh sugar water every few days.
Seems my little hummer stealing dance is working :sleazy:

Guess I'll just keep the feeders full and wait... I have three of my digital trail cameras home right now putting in new batteries and clearing the SD cards... I put one overlooking Becky's butterfly or hummingbird bush or what ever you call it today, but got nothing but a couple of pictures of the flowers that the wind and sun set off...

Oh... sorry if I stole someone's hummer (well, not really!).
I have had a gorgeous little guy in my garden for several weeks already and I normally don't see them until August, plus this little guy has the Ruby Throat!! All of my other ones must have been gals or younger guys 'cause I have never actually seen a ruby throated with a ruby throat since they have been coming to visit!
He doesn't seem to care about the feeder either so I actually just took it down yesterday. I guess I finally have enough flowers blooming!

Lots of them here too. I put some sugar water in a red cap the other day and they came close to it but haven't tried drinking from it yet. In another couple of weeks I hope to be that lady who had the hummers feeding from her hand.

I think the hummers ran away with the honey bees.I usually have hummers fighting over the feeders. But this year I have one pair.Thats just sad.:(

Though I see the odd hummer in my yard , usually starting in June here, I found out no matter how faithful I am about keeping the feeder filled and cleaned and having fresh nectar, mine will not show up til August almost every year at the feeder, I have no idea why they chose not to use it, but considering all the trouble and expense of replacing nectar and cleaning the feeder etc. I think I'll wait til August this year to even hang mine up. Oh well, but I guess the ol' saying " You can lead a horse ---etc" may apply to hummers as well perhaps?

Iv'e had a camera set up over mine for the past two days and not a sign of them... Mine usually establish around mid-June... Oh well... I'm busy with 4H, Little League and a half dozen other things... Guess I'll just keep the feeders filled and wait...
