Orb (garden) Spiders

Caught these two at about 11 last night. They were tango-ing around the web, which she has stretched across the sidewalk from the house to an azalea. If Mrs. Orb (at the top) is 12 o'clock, Mr. Orb is about 4 o'clock, almost at the bottom of the pic.

He is much smaller (and maybe history by now). Not sure if that's what happens after Orb's mate????

That's strange. :lol: Last night I was watching to spiders flirt with each other by tapping each others front legs. I was wondering what would happen after they mate too. I don't think all female spiders eat the male? :unsure:

Oh, I was taking the dogs out. It's not like I sit around watching for insects to do it. ^_^
