Bugs On Dahlias

I have little white bugs on dahias, I think they are Thrips? they are very very small and white also there is white powder residue on the leaves. I need help with diagonosing and treating what should I use to kill them? :(

Hmmm...i've never had a bug problem with my dahlias. Maybe just an earwig or two...those guys creep my out.

I think there are any number of bugs that like dahlias , from my experinece with them , and I almost think they could be bug "magnets" , especailly where earwigs are concerned around here!!
