12x12 greenhouse

hubby has fineally started to build me my GH its 12 x12 with treated lumber.has 3 slideing glass doors and 2 windows from a sonic remodle.Yes they are thermal,I just took the frameing off.It looks like 2 pieces of glass with rubber gasket inbetween.He framed them in& I plan to silicone them when he gets further along.He's gone to buy the lumber for the roof and see if the poly panels are in(no panels on Tuesday...just prices)

I have questions about the floors..what I should use.

my other question is the security light....will it be a benifit for me?We pay $7 a month for it and if it goes out they(power company) change it.They also have one that puts off a pink light.

When he returns....and starts the roof.The wall with the windows should have 2 ft added as I've asked for the roof to slat one way...I need to be sure I have all the hanging plant space I need,plus plan on diggin one banana plant to winter over to see if it will flower.so roof will slat on one side only...the side where most the sun will be.

your right.....I can't wait!I've got 3 metal shelves to utilize.but for today...this is as far we are going.

'They' decided how my roof would be done,but I've got 15 ft of clearance in the center.so basically...I DO have room for the banana tree :rolleyes: and this was the only year I was going to winter it cause am connecting the 2 beds together.The banana tree leaves get in the way of my brugmansias.It has about 6 pups under it...least are 6 thats not got mowed over.Later today they will cover the top portion in some black plastic to keep the wood on roof dry.I'm not happy with how 'THEY' plan to do my roof.metal.but got them to agree to metal on edges with poly panels in center.I tried telling them metal puts off too much heat when sun hits it.Then talked them out of metal on outside walls and 'they' have agreed to T-11 sheets.I'm going to try another suggestion on 'them' today.insulation board with gray sideing(gee the person we got sonic windows from has some gray sonic sideing...the color would match house :rolleyes: its just not same sizeing(its double4s)

My camera tells me the security light gives off enough lighting.my flash don't work unless block light with tree.I've been told I can run a cord for power for a heater :o .I also haven't figured out why they don't think I'll use it year round.It would clear my deck railings in the summer.

He'll proably take a break for a few weeks.He's out of the dog house now :grin: this is my B day present 11 days late :blush: I'm glad He fineally got it right! :hug::cool:
