What do you guys think?
It’s not your grandmother’s “Victory Garden!” PBS has turned up the heat on its venerable flora and faunafest, hiring a former male stripper to host the new season of the Boston-based series.
Yeah, yeah  They should have gone with a more traditional host.
traditional? How would you like to be a garden host they never had a problem with? Guess that would mean you were a bit on the plain/ugly side or don't have the strip tease background. Isn't beauty in the eye of the beholder anyway? I don't know about you but I don't find Jamie Durie all that distracting.
There have always been hosts that are attractive. Name a few!! Come'on guys
I don't know why there is such a fuss when everybody loves braless Charlie.
Is Jamie Durie that bad of a host?

Hey I can see a "hunk" gardening in my back yard!!!! OH YEAH!!! But seriously, this past weekend, while "puppysittin", I watched a garden show called, Garden Police. Very good program. It was on, I believe, Discovery channel. This couple go to homes where the gardens are A MESS, and redo them. I really enjoyed it. Will have to look for it now that I`m here at home.

and you two are the moderators. tsk, tsk
I can understand how some people don't want to see gardening shows being taken over by model spokes people like so many of the shows are on hgtv. You know, the people don't have to know anything about the subject they are hosting? I think they pick them up at a model agency and then ask them if they can speak in front of camera. People should know something about gardening but I don't think looks or past jobs should be held against them.
Nice picks grindle. :)

I'm sure there's a lot of presenters that have had 'fill in' jobs, and true, they should know a bit about their subject, or the programmes become uninteresting. Those 3 pics are all garden presenters and trained horti's too, so IMO there are some nice looking ones

Personally I don't care what the hosts look like just wish we had more shows out here for them to host. Nice when they know what they are talking about though.

These young gardeners look very handsome, but if you asked Lady
Chatterley, she would have said a gamekeeper
knows more.
