I am in Florida this week and when I go on the road my daughter does not trust that Ferdi will not eat my pet Cockatoo Toby. So he has to stay down in the family room, and he can go in the Laundry room. She turns on the 24hr cartoon channel on the TV for his entertainment.

Today she told me when she came home from work she called him and he did not come so she went down to see if he was alright. He was sitting on the couch watching TV. She said he looked at her like "What? I am watching my show"

It is a 55" TV and I hooked up surround sound to watch movies when I have company. I think he thinks he is at the movies. :lol:

So what does Toby get to listen to?

Toby likes Rock n Roll. If you forget to turn his music on before you leave for the day he puffs his feathers out and pouts when you come home. If you try to talk to him he will turn his back to you. :lol: If you remember Barretta he dances like his bird. Toby loves his music.

When he is happy when you open the front door he greets you with a happy "Hello"

I rented "Catnip Video" - long ago and my cats really enjoyed watching it. They were on top of the TV and behind it, trying to figure out a way to get to the small animals!

that is adorable! If I am going out for short trips to the store I leave the tv on for my dog. I havent been able to tell if he really cares or not. When I go to work for the day I leave the radio on for him. I think they like the noise it helps them to feel not so alone

When we go away I always leave the radio on for the cats, especially if we'll be gone a few days.

Every once in a while my husbands cat Missy will watch Star Trek movies with him, I guess she's bonding with Dad :lol:

I think my fur baby is deprived. I don't like 'background' noise and we rarely even watch TV so Lucy is used to peace and quite. We both want to hide for a while when the DGC are here for a few days!
