I've been trying with help to turn a terrace herb garden into something to look at but at the same time be used...Why..In 09 there will be a healing garden syposium...herb vs..prescriptions...I don't know how to use it..a fully run kitchen..I should be the chef and the gardener...I guess..like on some tv shows about hotels..there's enough space. I tried to get into a pastry chef but she left after 5 mints later..now almost all gone..never, mints live on...I think it should be other kinds..like chive flowers for garnish, got it...always rosemary...the others but what...If it was up to me I'd be happy with a hop vine for a butterfly using it for as a host plant. I just might. I have a bunch of Malibar spinach vine left..might think of that as an herb...I bet it could change the taste of a dish....that's what I'll do. It's an herb to me. If you can think of any other...I have tried to grow ginseng at a norther slop expoure....died. I had it all played out how I was going to mass produce narley roots some where else. I'm open for suggestions..I have very little time..can't believe I even care right now. That's Mary, who thinks she needs my ok....I don't have to say..she's never been married worked for a big science corporation...common sence is lacking.

There's a very "posh" restaurant near my place and they have their own herb etc garden. They love to decorate a salad with nasturtium flowers and charge a fortune. It does look lovely tho.

I thought because Cilanto..not one year, I need to look into that Canadian co that has lots of seeds and plants. Begins with an R Ruelings or something....

Any thing just about is in that catalog...it's amazing, even Stevia that was hard to find 10 years ago. I didn't find that Pennsury was any better..some of my garden club helped years ago...lost. There I go and looked in my own library..I buy at rodales presses sales..The Healing Herbs by Michael Castleman. I'll be back

I did add some parsley..some years it winters over..I just though as I sipped my coffee..have a tree just siting some where eles..and what about tea leaves...I would think these are herbs..I use them as a healing effect and maybe it's a problem for people when they take the prescribed medication, I know it gets pain releif faster into the blood...I'd like to find some tea leaves. Do you grow any? What is it really, don't know what it looks like expect in a bag!

I don't often say I can't...I think I found some thing worth looking for, a tea bush...it's pretty, looks like the Stewardia blooming right now. I'm certain there are other herbs that people use this way..including mint, I should even add some cone flowers...never thought of that, I understand using the root, but don't know of any one harvesting it or really using herbs fresh. I should take a really good look at what's on store shelves in bottles.

I should take a picture to be certain..I started it from seed years ago and brought it with me to work..added to a meditation garden...where people some times scatter ashes..I do have a crazy job...That garden..I haven't done a thing yet to it this year. It's at the edge of the woods and I left the leaves cover the soil..I'm not mulching it this year as a test. my work load has increased by 30% but yet my ability is down by at least 20...I'm suffering. I have to question, are they paying for my energy or my mind. I just work where I feel like I want to do it...or with the guys, I want to get away from pulling weeds or spraying or mulching at all..but I haven't been able to get quality work much if I ask for some thing to be done....
I'm going to look for a top 10 list.

Garlic is up there and I forgot about grape seeds extract. I jumped on the band wagon and I've been taking it for about 7 years and just haven't been using it for a few months now. Valerian and st John wort..now that sounding more like a nice garden too.

Looks fine from the pictures, no adverse effects. Funny how no one can do a job like yourself:lol: Hope you find the right plants:)

I dont know if you are growing this but I love my Horehound. It is an interesting-ish looking plant with its crinkly , round, grey, peppermint-y looking foliage. But more importantly it really does relieve a cough when you make horehound lozenges out of it. It tastes pretty bitter but it really did work.
I also love my horseradish, but I am not sure if that would be something you would find in a formal herb garden.
