2.50? Including the thread too? WOW! What a deal. You certainly did a fabulous job of it. It's lovely.

I am so envious of people who do lovely things with cross stitch. My
sister in law tried to teach me how to do the counted stitches, just on
a bookmark with rather tiny squares, and I had to give up and donate it
back to her.

Someone will be pleased with such a gift.

I really didnt like the colors (pink is not my friend) so normally I wouldnt of bought a kit like that, BUT for 2.50 (that included EVERYTHING) I couldnt pass it up and I figured I could give it away after anyway. But I was VERY SICK of all that pink when I was done LOL

TS, I think the colours are really nice. I love the bird and the dragonfly too. I know what you mean about certain colours not being your friend - I would have felt that way with grey!

It's beautiful. I haven't done any cross stitching for a while. Can't see well enough anymore. A neighbor just gave me a free standing light with magnifying glass so I will give it a try next winter. Right now I have the garden to keep me occupied. :)

That's very pretty. Nothing beats the look of 'handmade'. I've done a few x-stitch pictures so I know the time involved and probably wouldn't be generous enough to give it away!

very pretty TPS. Pennylee, I'm the same way, just don't seem to have the knack to do needlework.

Very nice job!! I use to do some cross stitch. In fact I have a blanket Ive been working on for about 4 years now   Maybe I will get back to it sometime. It has different animals in each square of the blanket. So time consuming but rewarding when its done

TPS,

I think that is beautiful ! That "someone"will be very lucky to have something that nice given from you.

Definately nicer then that box of red ants you sent to your poor swapie:lol:

I cannot craft anymore... but use to...now gardening will be "my thing".

Do you enjoy doing tedious things ? I use to love to bead, and people use to ask how I could do it, but I love doing small intricate work.

Really nice TPS. you too pipit. I am a cross-stitcher. I have a butterfly quilt I"ve been working on for 15 years. LOL I think I've lost the pattern. I need to get in my attic now that DS is out of the house and start putting my "craft room" together. I'm going to try to get back to doing that this winter.

:rolleyes:oh my TPS that is a lovely piece of work. They are sooooo time-consuming. My daughter does cross-stitch and more then once the piece she would be working on ended up across the room!!! Very nice work, you should be very proud of yourself!!:)
