My one and only pic from ast year of a grasshopper. Should get plenty this year as there is loads in summer in fields around me

Grasshoppers do look ancient looking, but they are one of my favourite insects. Not Locusts, grasshoppers. Crickets too.

Here is a male grasshopper taken today:

all over Mountstewart meadow there is hundreds chirping and jumping around. Some are still very small and others are almost full sized.
