Nice pics, should have put "Not for squeemish" on title. See the two stubs where hindwings are? They are for helping flys navigate. read it in a David Attenbourgh book.

Nope cranefly don't sting, they are not posionous, but I was told that if it could sting it could kill a human baby! Not sure if that was true.
