I had little choice:o .. my front yard is inundated with bindweed  .. the soil is bare now except the bindweed and in the center of it all my prized oak. I almost don't need a lawn .. this weed fills in quick.

I have made several attempts to pull it .. but this bloody weed grows back as fast as you pull it. My fault partially .. a decade ago when I planted my oak there was a small patch of this weed in the planting box ... I should of removed it then ... I did not .. bad move on my part .. very careless.

So this morning .. when most were still sleeping and the wind gone .. I snuck out and applied two gallons of Roundup concentrate ( 6 oz. per gallon) as the label suggested for nasty weeds.;)

I think it was safely applied so no one should be caught in friendly fire .. now let's see how it worked.:)

It was not all bad though one year I had a great time getting some photos .. let's hear your experience on this weed. ;)

Good Day ...

Sometimes I find it in my flowerbed in the backyard but quickly pull it up. I don't want it to become as big a problem as it was for you, it's a nasty little plant.

I like bindweed, except the way if covers my hedge! I plan to grow it in a large pot wrapped round a twig, just to see insects going to flowers.
