Herb growers and chefs (that enjoy cooking with herbs) raise your hands.
What is your most used herb? Fresh, dried...whatever. It might not be your favorite herb but which ones do you find you use the most?
Mine is fresh chopped parsley. Its called in almost every vegetarian dish I make.

I don't use it in everything, but my favourite herb HAS to be Rosemary.
I don't like its stick form, so I grind it in my coffee grinder, until it's a fine powder.

Oh yes we use chives a lot too. Any more favorite or most used herbs?

Hi Jennify!! :)
How's the little baby? Do you think you'll be digging around much this summer?
I'm going to grow some cilantro this summer, but I would love a larger herb bed.

Rosemary and chives. I'm going to try growing my own from seed this year for the first time. I love the way rosemary smells when you walk by and brush against it.

Basil, parley, chives & oregano. I use it fresh and also dry it in the microwave. Usually have enough to last through the winter but right now my supplies are running low.

Chris, you must have eaten at my evil mother-in-laws house too:) Maybe if she is really pushing things a dash of garlic salt is called for.

I am glad that the tornado didnt get you Boo....although I was watching to see if you would land near my garden!!
Seriously though I am glad you are OK!
Ok on to herbs....I love those herbs but specially, Thyme and Rosemary, then Oregano and Parsley and Chives both garlic and plain, and any type of mint and lemon grass...although I had trouble keeping my lemon grass alive through the winter and am still wondering whether it will ever be the same....oh yeah and Horehound too. It tastes nasty no matter what you do with it, but it really soothed my sorethroat and cough this past winter.
I am sure I will come up with more....I am glad we didnt have to choose just one LOL!

I'm a big fan of thyme. I love growing it because it's so versatile and there are so many types of thyme. Besides using it in chicken and pork dishes, I put it in barbeque sauce for chicken and ribs. Which is actually a chicken and pork dish, but oh well!
Has anyone ever cooked with lavender? Shortbread cookies or something?
