adenium,
Great looking blooms on your obtusa! How have you had it and did it take to bloom? I hope to someday see blooms on my Dwarf White Singapore-bought it as a small rooted plant 3 years ago, very slow grower & bought a Dwarf Pink Singapore cutting back in May and it finally has roots!! I love Plumeria's and have my DH hooked on them too, we have a few of them (tongue in cheek) most of them are rubra with the exception of the 2 obtusa, a Pudica and 2 Pudica & 2 alba seedlings. I seem to be drawn to the Apocynaceae family, there are only a few plants in that family we don't have.

Hi,
It was not easy to get it to bloom in cold Switzerland. However I did it without the help of grow lights. I brought this plant back from Borneo in January 2003 as a cutting collected after a storm. I started rooting it as soon as I got back in Switzerland. It took a rather long time, it started growing in May-June. We then had an incredible Summer in 2003, with temperatures between 86 and 96 degrees, which is usually the case only for a week or maximum two. So the plant grew well. I took it back inside for Winter and it stopped growing. I did the same the next Summer and Winter. I had to fight twice black tip fungus. Even during Summer, it spends many nights indoors and I bring it outside in the morning.
Unfortunately it just got BTF again and I had to cut one of its new branches, because it was spreading so rapidly.
However, the flowers are still beautiful and open one after another. Here is a new pic of it.
